A revitalized the Russian player won his initial title for nearly 30 months with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.

The athlete, a former top-ranked player, has experienced a challenging season, achieving just one win at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.

His varied form on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in particular - led to him dropping out of the elite rankings and eventually splitting with long-term coach Cervara.

"This title is in honour of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my child Alisa was born was for her."

The athlete, the former major winner, had failed in his previous six championship matches, comprising in the German tournament previously this season.

However the athlete has altered his approach in the past month, making an effort to advance forward and perform positively, supported by an improved serving game.

Medvedev came back from a break down in the first set against the challenging Frenchman, taking 4 of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
